story script: Today, Yara is happy: her parents are taking her to the beach. As usual, Yara rushes to build the most beautiful sand castle while her parents and her sister Petra keep an eye on her. Not far from here, Polisson the clownfish is admiring her, “what a beautiful little girl! I wish she could come in the water so I can meet her…” In fact, Polisson the fish has fallen in love with Yara! Sadly, fish cannot get out of the water. But Polisson is very keen on meeting Yara. So he starts thinking of a plan to get closer to her. He then decides to hide in the most magnificent seashell that ever existed, hoping that Yara would see it and pick it up. Polisson the fish is very clever - his plan worked! Yara notices the magnificent seashell and puts in her beach bag. Once home, Yara puts the seashell against her ear because her mum once told her that if she listened carefully, she could hear the beach waves. Polisson gets super excited, because he will be able to speak with Yara! To enchant her, Polisson starts singing: “fishes of the Red Sea, green fishies, red fishies…” As soon as Yara hears Polisson’s voice, she gets scared and drops the seashell. The seashell breaks, and Polisson the clownfish finds himself on the floor. “Oh! What a pretty fish”, says Yara, “We have to put it in the water, quickly!” And just like that, Mezeret the housekeeper, fills up the bathtub and puts Polisson in there. But Polisson is miserable… He feels lonely in the bathtub. “Is the water too hot?” Asks Yara. “No”, replies Polisson, “but when I’m alone, I feel sad. Even though I’m a clown fish, my jokes don’t make me laugh.” Yara feels sad for Polisson the fish, but then, she comes up with an amazing idea! She rushes to the living room and gets an aquarium that has been left out on one of the shelves. All she had to do now is add a bit of salt, so it becomes like sea water! Yara helps Polisson climb in the aquarium. “I can put your in my room. This way, we can always hang out together!” Polisson the fish is very happy - he made a new friend (the beautiful Yara). Shakira the doll keeps him company too and sings to him all day long! However, after a few fun days, Yara’s mum told her that Polisson should go back home, to the sea, where he could be with his family and friends. But she did promise that they would go visit him every weekend! Based on the script, here’s a brief breakdown of what each illustration could include, while keeping the same character design and color palette as the cover: 1. Polisson in the Aquarium: Polisson happily swims in the aquarium, which is set up in Yara’s room. Yara watches him joyfully, and Shakira the doll is beside the aquarium, “singing” to keep Polisson entertained. 9. Taking Polisson back to the sea These illustrations will bring the story to life, highlighting Yara’s kindness and the budding friendship with Polisson. Make sure to let the illustrator know to keep the same warm color palette and gentle, whimsical drawing style as seen on the cover.
